King’s Mill

This was the site of the King's Mill Dam, a Miller's House, the Mill Lade and the Mill Steadings - sadly now all demolished.

Only the Watch House remains - so named because it was from here that the level of water in the mill lade was watched.

One of the last millstones from King's Mill is now located back at the beginning of our walk outside the Tolbooth opposite Crail Museum.

Take the path along the front of the Castle walls overlooking the sea.
