Crail Museum is closed for the winter.
We plan to reopen for the Easter school holidays from 10th April 2025 - opening Thursdays to Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays - detailed opening times will be published nearer the time.
If you would like to volunteer at the Museum and help us to open up for visitors to our historic Royal Burgh then please see our Volunteers page.
To visit Crail Museum by public transport we recommend the Traveline Scotland Journey Planner.
The final leg of your journey is likely to be on the Stagecoach 95 bus that runs between Leven and St Andrews via Crail and the other East Neuk villages - you may find the "95 Crail Bus" website useful in giving news about any changes to the 95 timetable.
Group Visits
Groups of all ages by prior appointment are very welcome. The exhibition rooms are fairly small and it is a more comfortable experience for everyone to split groups into about half a dozen persons to see each room. We supply volunteers to assist each group. Let us know your requirements.
Items in store
Not everything can be on display at once so if there is something specific you wish to see let us know and we will be happy to arrange an appointment for you to see it. Prior arrangement required.
Research
We welcome researchers by arrangement, but we are an all-volunteer museum with no full time staff on site.
