Memorial Fountain

Constructed of granite, the fountain was a gift to his native Burgh by Andrew Mitchell, Justice of the Peace. For many years he was a well-known Glasgow merchant. The inscription states it was presented to Crail in 1897, the year of Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee.
