The Hen's Ladder

These steps lead up into what looks like a private garden. But they are just the start of a steep walk up to Crail High Street known as the Hen's Ladder.

If you are ready for that steep walk, take these steps up into the garden and turn immediately left. Follow the path all the way up to the main road through Crail and turn right. Continue alongside the main road until just beyond Shoregate.

If you prefer a slightly more gentle walk, take the road out of the harbour up towards the main road through Crail and turn right.
