Museum Opening Dates & Events
Crail Museum & Heritage Centre will reopen in June 2023.
We open for the summer season on Thursdays to Sundays from 1st June 2023 to 15th October 2023.
On Thursday to Saturday we open between 11am and 4pm.
On Sunday we open between 1:30pm and 4pm.
If you would like to volunteer at the Museum and help us to open up for visitors to our historic Royal Burgh then please see our Volunteers page.
Guided Heritage Walk around Crail - Sundays June to October
Our Guided Walks run on Sundays from 4th June to 15th October 2023.
Tickets can be bought online or in the Museum in advance.
Meet at the Museum at 2:15pm for a 2:30pm start. Walks last 1 - 2 hours.
Cost £5 adults - £3 children (10 – 17 yrs.)
Walking is mostly on even surfaces with one steep hill to the Harbour.
We are justly proud of Crail’s heritage and would be glad to tell you more about the history which surrounds us.
The Growth and Development of Crail During the Middle Ages
Talk in the Kirk Hall - Friday 7th July 2023 at 7:30pm
George Findlay is our speaker for a study of town urban planning in a Scottish Medieval Burgh. This was Mr Findlay’s topic for his undergraduate dissertation in geography at St Andrews University in 1978.
Tickets will be available online or in the Museum nearer the date.
Tickets cost £8 and include a glass of wine or soft drink.
