Museum Opening Dates & Events

Crail Museum & Heritage Centre will reopen for Easter 2023.

We will open from Thursday 6th April to Monday 10th April inclusive.

On Sunday we open between 1:30pm and 4pm.

On other days we open between 11am and 4pm.

We then open again for the summer season on Thursdays to Sundays from 1st June 2023 to 15th October 2023.

Guided Heritage Walk around Crail - Easter Sunday 9th April 2023

Our first Guided Walk of the season will be on Easter Sunday 9th April.

Tickets can be bought online or in the Museum in advance.

Meet at the Museum at 2:15pm for a 2:30pm start. Walks last 1 - 2 hours.

Cost £5 adults - £3 children (10 – 17 yrs.)

Walking is mostly on even surfaces with one steep hill to the Harbour.

We are justly proud of Crail’s heritage and would be glad to tell you more about the history which surrounds us.​

We hope to start regular walks each Sunday from early June to early October.

16th & 17th Century Furniture and Carvings in the East Neuk

Talk in the Kirk Hall - Friday 5th May 2023 at 7:30pm

David Jones, furniture and design historian, ex-lecturer in Furniture History at St Andrews University will talk about East Neuk Furniture and Carvings of the 16th & 17th Centuries.

Mr Jones has advised on several important collections of historic furniture in the UK including Hopetoun House, Paxton House and Dumfries House where he is Honorary Keeper of Furniture. He is a committee member of the Lorimer Society and a trustee of the Willow Tea Rooms in Glasgow, dedicated to the conservation of Mackintosh’s tea rooms.

Tickets cost £8 including a glass of wine or soft drink and can be bought online or on the door.
