Museum Opening Dates & Events

Crail Museum & Heritage Centre will reopen for the Platinum Jubilee holiday weekend on Thursday 2nd June 2022.

We will be open on Thursday 2nd, Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th June.

We aim to open regularly on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays for the summer season.

Opening times are 11:00 to 16:00 each day.

With the current Covid situation we are finding it difficult to staff the Museum with volunteers.

If you would like to volunteer at the Museum and help us to open up for visitors to our historic Royal Burgh then please see our Volunteers page.

Guided Walks on Sundays

Our Guided Walks around Crail restart from Sunday 5th June 2022.

For more details see our Guided Walks page.

"The Bells of Crail" - a talk by John Martin - Friday 10th June 2022

At 7:30pm in Crail Kirk Hall on the south side of Marketgate opposite Crail Parish Church.

Tickets will cost £8 including a glass of wine or soft drink and will be available to purchase online by the end of May.

John Martin will tell us more about the van den Ghein family from the Flemish city of Mechelen who were responsible for casting the Church and Tolbooth bells for Crail and other bells around the UK - perhaps including one recovered from Henry VIII's flagship the Mary Rose.

Coffee Mornings on Saturday 16th July and Saturday 13th August 2022

Welcome back to our Coffee Mornings in the Legion Hall in Nethergate.

There will be the usual stalls selling jams and cakes and such like - and our famous raffle - plus tea or coffee to drink and something to eat...
