Private Pages

Crail Museum Volunteers have access to a number of Private Pages on the Intenet with helpful information about volunteering at Crail Museum.

Access to these pages is controlled by membership of a Crail Museum Volunteers Google Group - which can be reached at: http://crailmuseum.uk/emailgroup

To gain access to these Private Pages you need to:

Have a Google Account

If you don't already have a Google Account, go to http://crailmuseum.uk/emailgroup and click on "Sign In" and choose "Create Account" and click on "For My Personal Use".

Rather than creating a new Gmail account we normally recommend clicking on "Use my current email address instead" - then follow the prompts to create your account.

But if you share your computer with other people and you don't already have a separate email address or Google Account just for yourself,  then we recommend that you accept the way Google wants to do things and "Create a New Gmail account" as your Google Account.

N.B. If you have the opportunity, change your Google Account language setting from "English US" to "English UK" - this will ensure that dates are shown in a UK format and that any money can be shown in "Pounds Sterling".

Sign In to your Google Account

Go to http://crailmuseum.uk/emailgroup and click on "Sign In" and use the appropriate password for this account.

Ask to Join the Crail Museum Volunteers Google Group

Go to http://crailmuseum.uk/emailgroup and once you are signed into your Google Account you can click on "Ask to Join".

Under ‘Reason for joining’ PLEASE TYPE YOUR NAME – this is important as otherwise we won’t know who is applying.

Real people need to approve your request to join the group, so it might take some time - a day or two - and if you haven't given your name you might get an email in the meantime asking you to confirm who you are...

Wait for your application to be approved

It might take a day or two for someone to approve your membership request, and you might get an email during this time asking you to confirm who you are.

You can check if your request has been approved by going to http://crailmuseum.uk/emailgroup where signing in to your Google Account will show you more details of Group Email conversations once your membership has been approved.

View the Private Pages

Once your Crail Museum Volunteers Google Group membership is approved then when you are signed into your Google Group you will have access to the Private Pages at: https://sites.google.com/view/crailmuseumvolunteers

You may need to go to http://crailmuseum.uk/emailgroup first in order to sign in to your Google Account.
